Take Online Nios Admission in Current Session 2020-21

Open schooling allows one to take direct examinations in Class X provided one has a basic 
elementary education or class XII provided they have passed a Class X examination or the 
equivalent of the same. NIOS provides learning material for students aimed to help them 
self-study. Interested candidates seeking to take admission in Class 10th or Class 12th can 
fill up the form online on or before the last date for enrollment.

How to Take Admission in NIOS 2020-21

1. Visit nios.ac.in via Internet Browser.

2. Online admission option is available on the top left side.

3. Clicks continue after selecting the desired course and stream.

4. Create a new account for yourself.

5. A confirmation email will be received on the email id provided.

6. Clicking the confirmation link in the email will activate the account.

7. NIOS admission page will be redirected.

8. All the details need to be filled correctly.

9. Click next after this.

10. Upload all the corresponding documents and click submit.

11. Take a printout of the Successful Registration screen which appears.

12. This is the receipt of online admission in NIOS. Click Next after this.

13. Online payment options will be visible.

Instructions for online Admission to Secondary and Sr. Secondary courses in NIOS for the year 2020-21

1. After successful submission of Online Application Form for Admission to Stream 1 Block 1, you will get a confirma
-tion on your email address and Mobile Number submitted during registration process.

2. You can make the Payment during the registration process or you can also make the payment later by login into 
Student Panel using the user name and password sent to you in your email.

3. After successful payment of the Admission fee, you will be communicated through email with payment receipt. You 
can also print/download your payment receipt and your Application Form from your dashboard after login.

4. Study Material/Books from NIOS will be sent to you within 15 working days after receipt of the payment to NIOS. 
You don't have to make any additional payment to the postal department or the postman handing over the Study 
Material/Books to you. Your will be able to see the Tracking ID of your study material.

5. If required by NIOS management or if any discrepancy is found in the submitted online application form, you may
have to submit the printed application form along with the documents and photograph which will be communicated to 
you through email and SMS.

6. After successful verification of the required documents/photo uploaded during registration, you will get a confirmat
-ion on your email address and Mobile Number along with the Enrollment Number.

7. You will be able to print/download your Identity Card (ID Card) from your dashboard after login only after the 
admission is confirmed and the Enrollment Number is generated.

Eligibility for 10^th and 12^th class of Admission

For 10^th class :-

• Death of Birth certificate (DOB)
  2. School leaving certificate or T.C
  3. Last year passed or failed certificate ( any one of them)
• Attested copy of Address proof (like :- Adhar card , Ration card, Voter card , DL etc.
• signature
• pasport size color photo

For 12^th class

• Copy of 10^th class mark sheet
• Attested copy of Address proof (like :- Adhar card , Ration card, Voter card , DL etc.
• 2 passport size color photo
• signature
